Weeks 7 & 8

Things got really busy last week and I didn't have a chance to post!  Whoops!  Here is what has been going on:  Last week was Taylor's 7th week here!  Mommy had to work a couple days, so Taylor got to hang out with Daddy!  They had lots of fun watching "Scrubs" and playing on the floor.  Taylor has been getting plenty of "tummy time" so that she's nice and strong.  She's already pushing up on her arms and raising her head.  Daddy does lots of baby exercises with her!  Last Saturday we took Taylor to the Adjei's house for a Precious Prints party.  We had her footprints made!  I can't wait to get the finished product.  I'm sure it will be super cute!  Taylor had fun playing with all the kids there (well...not really playing, but she did a lot of watching!). 

BIG thanks to Gram and Pops for watching Taylor several times for Mommy and Daddy so that they could have some alone time!  We were able to get some shopping done and go out to eat several times.  It's so nice having my parents live near us!  What a life saver!  And Taylor is always so tired after we pick her up...I think Pops wears her out!

This past weekend we went to a graduation party for my cousin Nick.  Taylor got to meet her great grandparents for the first time!  It was fun.  It was our first road trip with her (all the way to Richardson...haha) and we were gone for a good part of the day.  She did great!  Everyone got to hold her and she looked super pretty (of course!). 

Taylor has been sitting in her Bumbo a lot.  Most of the time she likes it, but sometimes she gets sad because she doesn't want to sit up!  This last week we went to a concert in the park.  It was a children's act called Agent 23 Skiddoo.  He was awesome!  He did kids hip hop music.  Some other friends of ours brought their kids and we had fun!  But we had to leave early because it was so hot.  One day my parents brought us some Kripy Kreme donuts (yum!) and they brought Tay a hat from Krispy Kreme.  It was too funny!  Pops was telling her all about the donuts and she was REALLY listening to him!!!

This weekend was super busy once again.  Now that Tay can go more places, we have been going going going!  Saturday Aunt Robyn and Uncle Andy came to visit!  We ate at Babe's and then they came over to play with Taylor.  She loved them (of course!).  That night she hung out with Gram and Pops because Pops was leaving on a business trip and wouldn't get to see Tay for a few days.  Sunday was Taylor's first time at church!  She did great...made it through almost the whole service without fussing.  We can't wait to take her back.  Soon she can even start going to the nursery!

Our summer is going by somewhat quickly, but we are having the best time with Taylor.  She is growing and changing daily, so I'm going to try to update at least once a week so that I don't leave anything out!  We have some fun things coming up including lifegroup, a backyard circus, Dad's softball games, and a trip to Houston to see Aunt Stacy!  Busy busy baby!

PS: Daddy's team won the wiffleball tournament!  YAY!  Go Rec Rats!
