First Vacation and First Swim!

We've had an exciting few weeks here at the Scarbrough household!  The week after Father's Day, Taylor had her 2 month check up.  She was almost 13 pounds!  Wahoo!  And she also got several shots, which made everyone sad.  Then she ended up getting a cold, I (mom) got a cold AND a stomach virus, and Daddy got a cold too!  It was not fun around here!  We almost had to cancel our vacation but luckily we all got to feeling better. 

We took Taylor on her first vacation!  We visited my best friend from college, Stacy, and her family in Houston.  We then drove on to Galveston.  We had so much fun!  Taylor got to swim for the first time (in the pool and the ocean).  We also took her to our favorite restaurant (Gaido's) for the first time.  She had so much fun with Piper and Cadence (Stacy's girls)!  She was a very tired baby when we finally got home.  Then Mimi came to visit for the holiday weekend!  Mimi watched Taylor so that Pops, Gram, Mom, and Dad could repaint our playroom.  It looks so good now!  It was a dark red color (ceiling too...yuck!) and now it's a sky blue.  Pretty!  Taylor also got to experience her first 4th of July...we bought her a little swimming pool and she got to swim here at home!  She was one happy baby.  We ended the day taking Mimi to the airport and going to Sprinkles Cupcakery...YUM!  That's the way to spend a holiday!!!

We are spending this week redoing some things around the house and resting up for another vacation next week....Lubbock here we come!
