Spring Break 2012

We have had an awesome start to our spring break!  Taylor is very much enjoying her first spring break with Mommy and Daddy.  We started by taking a trip to Lubbock!  Although we wish we could've stayed longer, we had so much fun!

We stayed with Nana (Tay's great grandmother) and Mimi and Papa live right next door, so she had the FULL attention of all the grandparents for several days!  She was in Heaven.  Saturday morning the girls went to a wedding shower for soon to be Aunt Erica.  We had a great time seeing everyone from FBC and Taylor got to meet some very influential people in her Mommy and Daddy's lives.  That night we met Leah and Wade for dinner at Buns Over Texas.  Good food and great friends makes for a fun night!  We had so much fun catching up with them and laughing about funny kid stories.  Sunday we met Erica's family at 50th Street Caboose (a special place for Erica and Uncle Derrick) and had lunch and played some video games.  That night we celebrated our 6th anniversary with Dustin's family and some of our very best friends at Main Event!  It was a great way to celebrate the special day and a rare opportunity to hang out with some special people.

Sadly on Monday we had to come back to Arlington, but we had so much fun with Mimi and Papa!  I know they enjoyed having Tay Tay there for a while.  We are planning to go back in July and stay for a week, so hopefully they will get even more Tay Tay time (because you can NEVER have too much of that!).

Now that we are back home, we have had dermatologist appointments, dentist appointments, and done lots of shopping.  Today we began painting our laundry room.  When we moved in it was this AWFUL shade of orange....like Tennessee orange.  Ew!!!  For us Tech people, it was NOT the color we wanted to see when we first walk into the house.  So we decided that after we tackled the scary "red room" (which is now the happy "blue room"), we would go for the laundry room.  It is now a bright, cheery, purple!  It is so much calmer and will be a much happier place in which to do our laundry.  I'll post some pictures when we get it finished!
